What is Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder?

In terms of international pricing benchmarks, according to the CP data released by Saudi Aramco, the propane contract price (CP) in March was $895 / ton, up $120 / ton from the previous month, up 15.48% from the previous month and up 43.20% from the same period last year. Butane contract price (CP) in March was 920 US dollars/ton, up 145 US dollars/ton compared with last month, up 18.71% month-on-month, up 54.62% compared with the same period last year; In March, CP in Saudi Arabia rose sharply, giving a strong boost to the international and domestic LPG market. Benchmark LPG prices are higher than a year ago as the economy continues to recover and demand for crude oil continues to repair. According to this trend, the market price of Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder will also be affected to a certain extent.

Introduction to Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder
Zirconium silicide or zirconium disilicide, chemical formula ZrSi2, is a steel gray rhombic glossy crystal, the relative density is 4.8822. Zirconium silicide is insoluble in water, inorganic acid, and aqua regia, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid.

Physicochemical Properties of Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder
ZrSi2 as a zirconium-silicon intermetallic compound is a kind of ceramic material with high hardness, high melting point, high conductivity, high heat conductivity, and good thermal shock resistance to high temperature. Given the silicon zirconium - intermetallic compound has superior physical and chemical properties, ZrSi2 is a kind of structural material or new engineering material which can be used as the high-temperature corrosive medium.

Preparing Methods of Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder
Zirconium silicide can be obtained from a mixture of zirconium powder and silicon powder at high temperatures under air isolation.

A method for preparing zirconium silicide nanomaterial comprises the following steps:
1. Add 5mmol zirconia, 5mmol silicon powder, and 50mmol lithium metal into a 20ml stainless steel autoclave and seal it. Then put the autoclave into an electric furnace capable of temperature programmed, set the heating rate of the furnace to 10 per minute, and heat the furnace to 600. The reaction is cooled naturally to room temperature and the autoclave is opened to remove the product which is black sediment.
2. The reaction products were washed with distilled water, then respectively with dilute hydrochloric acid and anhydrous ethanol washing each time, after washing the product of the filter, then 60 in the vacuum drying oven drying 4 hours get zirconium silicide nanomaterials, based on the preparation of zirconium silicide nanomaterial quality and the quality of the raw material of zirconium dioxide used, it is concluded that the yield of zirconium silicide was 85%.

Applications of Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder
ZrSi2 can be used as fine ceramic raw material powder to make crucibles or semiconductor film.

Applications of Zr Zirconium
One of the most important applications of zircon is in the production of white pigment impervious agents for surface glazes and pigments in the tile and ceramic industries.  Refractory applications are also a common use of zircon in the manufacture of firebricks and shapes used in the steel and glass industries. Due to its high melting point (2200), zircalite is used as casting sand for molds and as "flour" for grinding, especially in warmer applications where it is important to maintain the surface quality of castings. The area of expertise known as "investment casting" is the growing use of zircon in the industry.  Zirconium is also used in the production of zirconia, zirconium metals, and zirconium chemicals.

A preparation developed in China; the comfort and the multifunctional properties of nanomaterials make "dead skin" capable of sensing again. Electronic skin is artificial skin that mimics the function of human skin. Recently, the world-renowned journal Advanced Science reported a simple and highly programmable electronic skin on a leather substrate developed by a Chinese team, which combines the natural complex structure of leather, the comfort of wearing, and the multi-functional properties of nanomaterials. , so that the "dead skin" has the ability to sense again.

In the future, Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder will be used in various high-tech fields, and the market demand for Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder will also be great. Please contact us for more information on Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder.
